Annual Report

The following are the REPORTED crocodilian attack statistics for 2023. It is important to emphasize that a significant number of incidents go unreported, particularly throughout the range of the Nile crocodile. The Nile crocodile is almost certainly responsible for more human deaths annually than any other species, but reporting is very limited for much of its range. In addition, attacks by the saltwater crocodile go unreported in many parts of New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
