- All data contributed by outside parties is freely available (with the permission of the contributors) for use, so long as the CrocAttack database is properly cited.
- All Australian and USA data is freely available, since this information is readily accessible online.
- All incidents personally collected by CrocAttack (Brandon Sideleau) require approval for use. If a significant amount of data is being used, a coauthor credit is required. If this is not possible, then incidents can be obtained through a per-incident monetary donation (dependent on the number of incidents needed).
- Certain incidents will NOT be immediately available due to current usage in publications and projects associated with CrocAttack.
- Exceptions can be made on an individual basis.
